Sunday. January 8: MULCHFEST 2012
If you were planning on volunteering for MulchFest 2012 on West 75th, you can stay home and sleep instead. Hertz on Demand bagged on our truck rental for the day. Big thanks to those who planned to come out and help load trees.
We apologize if this has caused anyone any inconvenience.

Last year the West 75th Street Block Association collected over 50 trees from our blocks (CPW-RSD) for recycling. This year we will participate again and need volunteers!

Sunday, October 30: NYC Bike Share
Bike Share is a network of thousands of bicycles available at self-service docking stations around the city. It's coming to NYC next summer.
On Sunday, October 30, it will be demo'd from
12 noon to 4 PM at Columbus Avenue and 76 Street. Bikes will be located on the sidewalk on the west side of Columbus Avenue just south of 76th Street. Sponsored by the NYC Department of Transportation. Free.
Here's your chance to weigh in on the location of bike racks. The program will make 10,000 bikes available to members at 600 stations around Manhattan and Brooklyn. Where should these stations be located, if at all?
You can suggest a site to the Department of Transportation by clicking http://a841-tfpweb.nyc.gov/bikeshare
Bike sharing will change the way we get around our city, and we should all be part of shaping the program. There will be a series of community meetings in the future to discuss which locations make sense— and which don't. What do you think?
